Internet Explorer 9 includes graphics acceleration for improved viewing experience
IE9 is now available as a preview, and features exciting innovations that tap into the processing power of GPUs. Specifically, it takes advantage of the underlying hardware from a visual perspective using Direct2D to enable GPU accelerated graphics, as well as a code execution perspective with a new JIT compiler included. Just Released: ACML v4.4.0
The AMD Core Math Library (ACML) is a free set of thoroughly optimized and threaded math routines for HPC, scientific, engineering and related compute-intensive applications. New features in version 4.4.0 include:
- OpenMP support for Open64 libraries
- Improved performance of ZGEMM, including within Level 3 BLAS and LAPACK routines that call ZGEMM
- Assembly language kernels re-tuned for AMD Family 10h processors, providing significant performance improvements.

AMD OpenCL Training Class: May 4, 2010 in Sunnyvale, CA
Join Allen Ly, AMD Senior Application Engineer, for a full day of training on OpenCL. This class will include both lectures and hands-on lab sessions that cover an introduction to OpenCL and its architecture, installing the ATI Stream SDK and creating an application, and optimizing and porting tips.
